Without sacrificing heating quality, reliability or durability, the Presto series of flatbed presses have been simplified to provide lighter and cheaper entry-level production presses where weight or budget is very important.

Simplified, however, does not mean inferior. The Presto 15 actually has exactly the same heater block as the more expensive HT-400D. In addition, it is ETL Certified for electrical safety, has a one-year warranty on components and a lifetime warranty on the heater block.

The savings come from a more simplified (but still very rugged) construction, the use of an analog (dial, like an oven) temperature control and hand-held manual (you must push a button to start and stop) timer. Also, while the press easily handles any type of garment, it does not have a tilting lower platen like the HT-400D so is not recommend for tiles, plaques and other thick items.
